Forever No

By Christos

‘Forever No’ is the debut single and self-directed music video by Christos. Filmed on location in Mexico, the video’s scenery alternates between an abandoned replica of the Greek Parthenon built by a Mexican narco on the Mexican Coast in the 80s, and a city rooftop where Christos is surrounded by a ‘liberation army’ or squad. The song title and lyrics reflect the recent ‘NO’ vote in Greece against austerity cuts and neoliberalism, which was applauded internationally as an iconic moment of resistance. Christos says that the song “is about not letting people take your livelihood away from you, and realising you have a voice that matters, and standing your ground.” “[It’s about] defending yourself and not forgetting your principles.” Currently London-based, Christos was born and grew up in Greece, and currently readying an EP release.
